John Denver, a singer-songwriter of Colorado who was a specialist in folk-pop music inspired millions of people. He was born Henry John Deutschendorf Jr. in Roswell New Mexico, the singer-songwriter fell in affection with Colorado and then moved to Aspen. Denver's state anthems inspired people to travel to Colorado. G. Brown of Colorado Music Hall of Fame, the hall's curator of fame, stated: "I don't believe there is another performer that embodies Colorado in the same way as John Denver." Denver was inducted into the Hall of Fame as its the first member in 2011. Today, he is Colorado's international image. On my trips I've had the pleasure of meeting people from New Zealand or the other side. When you tell that you're from Colorado the first words they'll say is Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Denver's debut Top 10 hit as a solo artist after a short time in folk music groups was Take Me Home Country Roads written by Bill Danoff. Danoff initially wrote the song with Johnny Cash's music in mind, but Denver knew from the first time he heard the first versions of the song that it would be a big hit. The song was first recorded a few weeks after that Washington D.C. performance.
